Letter from the Executive Editor
You don't have to be a fantastic hero to do certain things -- to compete. You can be just an ordinary chap, sufficiently motivated to reach challenging goals.
-- Sir Edmund Hillary
As a Web professional, you know what it’s like to be swamped. Well, that’s what it’s like here at WOW headquarters. We have set some important goals for this year, just as we hope you have.
We already have met one of our goals: to present a roadmap for setting and meeting your own personal and business goals. This month’s featured article tells you how to look into your own crystal ball, see what lies ahead and set achievable goals.
Of course, your goals don’t have to be as lofty as those of Sir Edmund Hillary, the first person to scale Mt. Everest -- although creating and maintaining attractive and useful Web sites can seem like an uphill battle. To reach your own personal summit, just do as he did: Take it step by step.
That brings us to another one of WOW’s goals for 2005 and beyond. We want to help you succeed. To do this, we’ll bring you even more useful information than we have in the past. And we want much of that information to come from you, our members. I know your time is precious and that you, too, are swamped. So don’t worry, we won’t ask for any commitments on your part.
When you have time, just drop me an e-mail and let me know:
- What programs, resources or issues you require help with or want more information about;
- How you may have solved a problem that also may haunt your colleagues;
- What you’d like to see WOW offer that it doesn’t already;
- If you’d like to write for WOW in a specific area;
- Anything that’s on your mind concerning the Internet, WOW or any related issue.
I also want to remind you of some upcoming WOW events:
- WOW Web Design and Project Management Workshop Tour: Strategies and Best Practices, Six Cites, Three Days of Killer Content.

Bill
